Thread regarding United Airlines (United Continental Holdings Inc. - UAL Corp.) layoffs

One week until furloughs

Am I the only one who is scared that once we are on a furlough we are as good as laid off in the long run? My husband has been through the same thing, he was first furloughed by his company and four months later he received a call that he was officially laid off. No advance notice, nothing. Is that what we're looking at as well?

Okay let's be respectful. These folks about lose their jobs. I get you don't want tax dollars to go towards helping airlines but don't be jerks about. You wouldn't want anyone doing you like that.

No layoffs. You’ll just be furloughed for the next 10 - 20 years.

The public is against flight attendants to sit in their duffs getting paid when others in hotel, restaurants, auto workers, ect do not get paid. Tell Scott and Oscar to give back 99 percent of their pay to cover payroll. NOT THE AMERICAN TAXPAYERS.

Get the U-hauls ready or get off your butts and get another job.

Just to be realistic here - do you really think any airlines in the US have a future?
