I know payday is usually on Friday, but my bank releases it early, and I didn't get paid today. Anyone else out there not get paid?

OP, were you paid?
Not a good sign. I worked for another for profit that this happened to and got paid but means HR deposited after cutoff time for the day so that is why you didn't get it early. Eventually that turned into a snowball effect and closures of the campuses.
You'll most likely be paid bytomorrow.
