Okay? Then when should seniority come into play? Everyone gets the same pay and benefits. The longer an employee stays with the company, the more protection they get. Even if they are lazy; it's in the cards my friend. I know carmen that have that rule one their hardhat...I think rule 25 (I could be mistaken). The hardest work goes to the ones with less seniority. That is the perk of longevity..s— it up, buttercup!
One would need to start with management! So immature and lack of knowledge is visible on a minute by minute basis. This is a company headed the wrong way! Total lack of respect for employees doing the work! Never has there been such a huge failure in an American business .
So your mad you don’t have any seniority? You must be a entitled 21 yr old millennial. Hang around a while you’ll get that seniority it takes time we all had to go through it. Just remember the only thing that matters is seniority as a contract employee. If you don’t like it do something else. Also the guys that seem lazy are probably seasoned employees who at one time worked a lot harder and got more done but as one age’s they slow down. Don’t worry you will get old and slow down too, it happens to all of us. It’s the cycle of life just be happy you have your youth.
Step 1. Layoff the youngest employees.
Step 2. Make environment hostile for remaining employees.
Step 3. Layoff more employees
Step 4. Wait for laid off employees to get better jobs.
Step 5. Call back laid off employees that dont want to come back.
Step 6. Contract out maintence citing lack off manpower per union contracts.
Maybe the employees are disgruntled, and deservedly so. It doesn't matter how hard you work, you're still going to get the axe. Do your time and shut up.
Hello welcome to the railroad, if they’d clean house starting with the management staff some of these issues you claim are the workers fault would disappear. The old saying goes $hit runs down hill taking out the hill won’t solve the problems especially when the $hits at the top. Stop blaming the workers and unions for management’s mistakes and screw ups hold them accountable for their actions and you might just see a difference.
That’s not how it works. That not how any of this works.
