Here is the truth. This company has become a disaster. The Atlanta Division is a good ol boys club, and it is the same tired no vision a–holes that continues to get promotions. If you are an ASL, or thinking about becoming one RUN. We are treated so poorly, used by management who dump sh– on you consistently. Never give us off for paid holidays ( that we are supposed to get,) and consistently work you 6,7,or 8 days straight without a day off. I am getting out of this company as quick as I can. DO NOT BELIEVE the whole Feed the human spirit BS. Upper Management shows us time and time again their lack of respect that they have for us. The District Staff comes into our stores and are rude, dont EVER speak to team members, and are in no way inspirational to work with. Our big push now are shops. WE ARE ACTUALLY GETTING GRADED ON HOW OUR BANANAS, TOMATOS, SALADS, AND STRAWBERRIES LOOK. Who comes up with this sh–??? These visionaries couldn't find their a– with both hands and a roadmap. You care about this, but will have 2 registers open on a Sunday because we don't want to give out hours. Grocery pick up is now free, and you then complain why we can't keep up. You use CORE to hire, and the system is the worst pile of leftover sh– I have ever seen. Our "HR" Team is "reactive" as opposed to "proactive." Utilzing the same hiring practices that were used in the 80's. Finally, this company is a COMPLETE sh– show, and when I leave I will share ALOT more information I have collected over my 18 years here. What happened to this company? It used to be a fun place to work, but it is HORRIBLE NOW.

I left the Nashville District back in 2019 (Store Manager) and I'm REALLY glad I did... Sounds like Kroger is nearing its corrupted, chain destroying cutting, lying to investors, logical end..
I love working for the competition and burying my former company!
Atlanta is a good region to work in if your uncle is a VP of merchandising. You can get promoted to DM with no experience or knowledge and be disrespectful to managers because what can we do? Complain to the executives? Ha ha
I see nothing has changed in the past year. Last year they let a lot of us senior getting ready to retire management go. Two days before I was summoned to the hotel a ASM with a year under her belt was asking for how to do a delivery shortage. That's what Rodney wants, inexperience so he can continue to run the company in the ground. Doesn't take a genius to see how it is. They did me a huge favor.
Start at the top with changes.
I was an executive until I got sick and retired. I couldnt agree more. Don Becker is turning over in his grave.
Perfectly put.
This observation is all across the company. Sr. leadership have surrounded theirselves with yes people who dont have legitimate skills. This began in 2015 and only took a couple of years to start showing. Continues to get worse and without COVID, our company would be in trouble right now. WAKE UP BOARD!!! A pandemic or act of God is NOT a reason to prop up poor leadership. Failure to act makes you complicit in the outcome.
