Anybody know what this is about??

I can't wait to see BS say in one of his meandering quarterly email "We give you the freedom of time off. Now, it's a meritocracy! How hard do you work? Do you take time off? Maybe you should think about the time off you take!"
Worst. Company. Ever.
i HAVE 240 PTO hrs for the year. since accumulators are canceled I'm in the negative HR told me i will not be penalized which is good. BUT I had 6 weeks vacation a year soon to be more. I doubt I will ever see 6 weeks again no matter how hard I try to schedule FTO. Another thing: it started 10/1 but FTO/sick days will not be in workday till november. WTF???
Sounds like they'll just delay the September layoff to January or early next year, to save that money.
What a complete joke!
This isn't a favor to staff! This is just a way to keep the long timers who earn 6 weeks a year (previously) from taking that much time without being viewed as "excessive" and rated poorly for it.
Glad I left that circus.
“Any accrued time off under the prior policy remaining after September 30, 2020, may be used until December 31, 2020, after which accrued, but unused time off will expire...”
Yep. Nothing to pay out. Stone padding the books again since it won't be a liability on the books. There ain't no flexible time off. Instead, it's a way to justify giving a 3, 2, or 1.
Do yourselves a favor and leave that c-appy place.
This is being done to prepare for the upcoming layoff.
That was my first thought too. Based on experiences at other companies, People will end
up actually taking less time off. Then when they quit or there’s a RIF, nothing has to be paid out.
Yes it means when they do layoffs they wont have to pay any PTO time you accrued. Everyone should take 12 weeks off next year so they switch it back to the current PTO. If you think Stone is doing something good for the employees he is not. He is to selfish and tight to let that happen. Everyone make sure you use all your time this year because we won't be able to carry it over anymore.
