Lawsuit:
Boeing board accused of failing to oversee responses
to the two fatal 737 MAX crashes.

Filed earlier this month in a Delaware state court,
Claims former Chief Executive Dennis Muilenburg misled what the plaintiffs
portray as a largely passive board.
Directors also allegedly were preoccupied by negative news stories,
failing to press management over specific MAX engineering problems and
skipping meetings that focused on safety, to play golf and flaunt their wealth.

The lawsuit, an earlier version of which was filed June 30,
Is Heavily Redacted
but offers a rare boardroom glimpse into the MAX crisis,
which has cost Boeing billions of dollars before the pandemic forced it to
lay off thousands of employees and slash production of its commercial jets.
Delaware law gave the plaintiffs access to more than 44,000
internal company documents.

It all sounds like the excuses of an eight year old

Reduction in force (RIF) schedule confirms one more ILO (involuntary layoff) with the 60-day notice to be sent in mid-October, therefore that layoff will begin before the Holiday Break.

The second VLO (voluntary layoff) had far fewer requests to participate than the first one last May. Because of the low participation, 1st & 2nd level managers are scrambling to meet the high target numbers set by the executive management, thus a high number will get the ILO.

Additionally, the RIF schedule for the first two (2) quarters of 2021 have already been planned, but that schedule has not yet been released to the respective unions, SPEEA & IAM for WA, OR, & KS.

Our MCAS fix is sound
The new procedure is to turn it off ASAP, then Both Pilots are to muscle the
backup trim wheels instead of just one.
Requiring both crew members to turn the trim wheel simultaneously in
a non-normal scenario, IE an emergency, is a simple fix.
What could go wrong?

I’m friends with one of the executives so I’m immune to any layoffs.

10/16/2020 will be a pretty big one. With 3rd quarter results being very dismal and decision for 787 right around the corner they will use it towards their advantage to do a deep cut. VLO's will be processed too so they will have a broader picture. They will want a significant amount out by year end to get ready for new production rates which begin in 2021. TAA act is through mid 2022 so you can expect bleeding all the way though then.

THE TRUTH is that no one posting to this website knows ANYTHING concrete about layoffs.

They know things they heard in the media.
They know things that management wanted you to hear in emails and all hands
They have rumors that mostly turn out not to be true
They "translate" management speak to the most negative connotation they can come up with.

There are no managers posting here, no VPs, no HR, no Union leadership, no one that would ACTUALLY know something

So, those of you that come here expecting earthshattering info are going to be sorely disappointed.

During 2020 Q2 webinar Stan Deal said that layoffs would go through Q1 2021.

  • The Truth

As hubris is contagious affecting the whole organization so is buffoonery.
One need only look at some of the threads created.
When the house needs a hundred watt bulb
these buffoons show up with a 15 watt oven lamp

One more wave for the rest of 2020. Then it starts up again as early as February of 2021. These riffs will go on through 2022 at least.
