Thread regarding City of Greeley layoffs

City employees who were furloughed at the end of April have now been laid off.
The city claims its do to a 10% decrease in revinew, however its my humble opinion that the city has been over spending and poorly managing tax payers money for years. They have at great cost been sending employee to expensive trade shows and wasting money in many other ways.
The city manager wastes tax payers money by making some of the stupidest videos ever scene, we need a city manager not someone trying to be a comedian.
Rather then laying off employees and basically ruining their lifes especially being some of the laid off employees are older in age and will most likely struggle to find jobs especially in the current economy.
The city should have done an across the board pay cut for all city employees and mandatory furlough days for all employees until the economy picks up rather then ruining people's life's.
The city needs to stop it's lavish spending and stop throwing away the tax payers money.
