Thread regarding MetricStream, Inc layoffs

You are k--ling career if you are working in CORD or Cloud

CORD and Cloud teams are formed to install metricstream application and support customers.

Do you learn anything that helps your career, from the experience I had answer is no. After i got terminated in 2017 had very difficult conditions to search the jobs. I spent 7 years in CORD team, it took 3 months for me to get first interview call after i left metricstream. Reason no other company is doing the similar job that CORD asked to do. Technology is changed, tools are changed, so i have spent lot of time to learn new technologies to get the job. Some after six months of jobless finally i received offer but again challenge is kind of work that is not that i used for it. So with in six months lost the job, again it pushed me to start learning additional technologies. Another three months i was jobless, to run family i accepted a contract position that run for 6 months. Again after 6 months jobless for few more months and then finally got one stable job. All these three years i was completely spending time on learning advance technologies, there is no single tool that i worked in metricstream CORD and Cloud helped me to get a offer. Everything is new, technically i started my career again.

What i wanted to convey to CORD/Cloud team is, this is not just my case - everyone working in these teams will face these conditions because these teams just work for supporting metricstream installations. Remember most of you are crossed the stage of spending time on learning advanced technologies and metricstream problems never give some free time to learn anything new. I'm writing this to you to think about what you are doing there, think about what you are learning, keep your resume in job sites, attend interviews and see where you stands in the job market.

Never think your managers helps you in difficult conditions. No matter how much you help them to get promotions and increments it is just them, they are selfish and they just use you and throw you in difficult conditions. Never ever think that you are taking additional ownership in work and spending 20 hours per day and your manager supporting you - it is just for that day. They will appreciate you just because they need the hardworking employees so that they can sit relax and get promotions. There is no single lead or manager or director whom i supported spoke behalf of me when management took decision to fire me.

Never never relay on your manager, there are no emotions, ethics, loyalty between you and managers/company. Other option that you have is wait to happen that happened to me and suffer.
