Did BD just show their hand? We have a FedEx account that notifies us of incoming packages. Just got notice of a package coming from BD and am definitely not expecting anything. It will be arriving on the last Friday of September which is usually layoff day.
Curious to know if anyone else is on deck to receive a mystery package?

Just a heads up, if you're basing this on the fedex delivery theory, there is something to consider. Gifts were sent to all customer service people for customer service week.
according to WARN, it looks like BD laid of 18 people as of 10/1/2020 and the notification was sent out on 9/22. So it would make sense that the notification was for termination. I currently am employed by BD, but turned in my resignation a few days ago. Hoping that will be able to save someone.
But from the sounds of it, it seems like after all the year end stuff is completed, there are more layoffs to come.
What was the FedEx delivery?
BD is changing from Verizon to AT&T, if you have a Verizon BD provided device, it may be for that.
Yes, the answer is yes. Another layoff coming very soon in October. I won't say what business unit but it will impact more than 150 associates.

Yes, they Fedex you the paperwork but an email will also arrive the same morning. I think they don't expect you to be tipped off by Fedex alerts tho
Is that really how BD layoffs people, by Fedex? Just as bad a breakup through text... If I return to sender do I get to keep my job?
