Those micro managers never really add any value to the company. Their motive is look for visibility and milk employee to make fancy power point . They deprive employee’s time to do the real work.

Post by : @pcc+174MFK0u is right on. Let’s take Oxy back to the good ole days with a simple structure. We need it back to the days when the president knew you by name and could feel free to stop and chat with anyone at any level without going through the chain of command. The existing structure is a drag on efficiency which Oxy has always taken Great pride in.

I think getting outsiders will make things worse. Paying big load of money to get ride of her, paying big load money to new comers. Those so called business man is gifted to make the balance sheet look good without really fixing the problem. They will not stay long, and this stepping stone for another fat sign on bonus.

What we need to simply trim the layers, and make the organization structure lean. when you have less management position available, you would just work on things adding value technically, instead of looking around for visibility. It is not motivating to young folks but will definitely shape people up.

You don’t want someone from the outside bringing in their buddies from another company. That is how we got to where we are today.

If VH leaves and they promote from within I am really going to be disappointed. As a stockholder I am ready to see some new blood and new culture period. Just promoting someone does absolutely nothing for the stock or the company. I also work at Oxy and all I ever see here is musical chairs for the people below VH. We are way past just using internal succession as a plan, and need someone at the top that is going to change the culture and add some new faces to the mix. Plus, maybe someone from outside will help bring the employees together. Something needs to change for sure.

She is getting tired of having to secure the boat in Tiki Island and worry about hurricanes. The CFO Peterson is her replacement in line

Yes, it’s true. If someone posts it on the lay-off it has to be.
