Thread regarding Disney layoffs

The big and the small are affected, as it seems

The Disney Store inside the Oxmoor Center has announced it will be closing its doors next Monday.
The store, which sells popular merchandise based on movies and properties by The Walt Disney Company, announced that the Oxmoor Center location’s last day will be on September 28.

Most of the Disney stores within those hotels were pretty small. Some have already reopened as gift shops featuring Disney merchandise. Most people staying at those hotels never knew those were actually Disney owned stores. Not a huge loss here.

Disney closed a lone location in the northeast of Florida which I also found unusual. Disney at Jacksonville Town Center recently closed after only being open about 4 years. I thought it was strategically placed as stores exist in the western, southeast and of course central Florida. Jacksonville’s population should have easily carried the Disney store since it’s the highest in the state by far.
