Levi’s. Ralph Lauren , dkny , iRobot Roomba , dyson , vitamix but only limited models , blink xt cameras , no boots like bcbg, mk boots. A lot of stuff missing. Did they all pull out ? I think it’s cause they borrow money against their own brands and the other brands are pulling out

From what I’ve heard, Macy’s was not paying the vendors or very late on payments and vendor got upset as they tried to grow their own private brands. Macy’s also our more emphasis on cheaper brands for backstage instead of their private powerhouse brands.
They didn’t pull out. We’re in a pandemic which means buying and planning put a pause on new merchandise receipts in April. New orders are coming in as of August. You have to give it a chance to ramp things back up again. It takes time. Shipping has been an issue but business will resume as usual once momentum with logistics picks up.
"Free People" is anything but. The brand is manufactured in China. Enough said.
"D–k's"
That should be D–k S (sporting goods).
LOL. Oh, Layoff, never stop clutching those pearls!
I agree with the 'supply chain issues'.
One of the brands that has shrunk infinitely in our store is Free People. I went into Nordstrom and they have even less Free People than we do. If a company like FP is having production problems (which is what I heard), they will be focusing on getting product to their free-standing stores, not the little shops in Macy's. I heard the same is true of Adidas (D–k's is a bigger priority to them so they will be getting way more Adidas than Macy's).
Conversely, our store is over-flowing with Levi's. But other stores where Levi's doesn't sell as well will not be prioritized.
We have tons of Levi, more on this week's truck. Not pulled out of my location.
We lost Miss Me jeans a few years ago because of the thieves. Same for Silver brand jeans.
I don’t think you can discount the supply chain issues. We just received vendor merch with hang tags that said spring. It’s being placed on the floor. Hopefully it will sell at a sale price rather than last act even though it’s past season. A different store in my district appears to be getting new vendor shipments. They look amazingly stocked vs my store and two others in our area.
At our location I’d be happy if they pulled the brand names. All it is at our store is a major draw for the shoplifting... lots & LOTS of shoplifting! They don’t even run out anymore... best is when they take suitcases from our luggage dept. so that they can load up! Our private brands are safe... even the shoplifters don’t want that $h!#!
It also might be a shortage control thing.
At our particular location CK, Tommy, LEVI’S & RL and any of the big athletic lines are a huge... HUGE shoplifting opportunity. (Doesn’t help that we don’t have A.P. in our store...)
LOL... The thieves avoid our private brands like the plague!
It's not every store and are you sure? Because a quick search online says otherwise. I can buy a vitamix within two clicks. And if RL did pull out, I can't blame the vendor or Macy's. It's overpriced and the only department where it sells very well is Mens, and I don't think any store has the personnel to keep up with that area of Mens.
Yep , all vendors left the building. You will only have junk left. Plus you owe 1.3 billion on junk. Good luck
Ralph Lauren has been pulled from our store, and that was by and far our #1 seller in men's. This is going to be bad. Very, very bad.
Or their payment terms aren’t being met and they stopped providing merchandise.
