Thread regarding Neiman Marcus Group layoffs

How the mighty have fallen

What was once a great company - where the name alone brought to mind luxury and fashion merchandise - is now disintegrating before our very eyes. There seemed to be too many issues to correct, from lack of support needed by upper management to very little if any communication. The decisions to ‘go digital’ were made too late in the game - so it's no surprise our competitors got the jump on it. Add to that lack of confidence in our leadership due to store closures and bankruptcy - and what you get is a once king hitting rock bottom.

I can’t pay my Insurance bill in two months either. We all could use a small piece of the 6 million GVR took home for leading us out of bankruptcy. I wonder what he got for leading us into bankruptcy?

Not to mention that there are already rumors about hourly employee hours being cut. So not only are we furloughed for about 6 months not sure if we'll have a job we get hit with over a $2000 bill for health insurance. The crazy thing is HR was all over us about signing up for coverage. The stock is terrible, morale is garbage and we are all fighting for the same customer and having an outrageous sales goal at the same time. From now till February there are going to be serious cuts. I also foresee many more store closures well into next year. Time to jump ship.
