Thread regarding Disney layoffs

No Letter, No Contact

I have not received any type of communication, email or written, since the April notice of furlough.

What could this mean?

The reason mgmt can't talk to you if you're on furlough is because that would be considered "work" for you and CA state law mandates they would have to pay you, even for that little communication

I’m not sure, but I think there might be some way on the hub to double check that they have an accurate email address/mailing address on file for you? I would start there in terms of tracking down information.

Call HR to make sure they have your correct contact information. You should have received an email on 8/24.

Same here. I contacted my boss and was told she couldn’t talk to me while Im on furlough. Disney turning this into “us against them” mentality. Its amazing how fast you go from valuable employee to being ghosted. Are you reading this Bob Chapek?

If you have not received any kind of communication, that means you are still on furlough. As long as the company has a valid email address, mailing address, and phone number for you, they will track you down when something changes.
