Let me try to understand. VH destroys the company's stock by -80%, overpaid for assets that are not even worth half what she paid for. Can't sell any of the foreign assets. Keeps adding on new debt like she prints money. But she gets a raise?! Makes sense.

Vicki a geologist. FML
When did she get a raise? Thought she had her salary cut by 81% first then restored to 50% of her original salary.
She got her salary partially restored. It’s still over 50% less than it was in March.
Are you all serious that VH got a raise? How do you know that?
Of course she gets a raise. Her performance evaluation Of herself says she exceeded All expectations. Exact words are probably “You are so great! #1 in the Permian! Something something football reference....”. Oxy is a joke of a company
It was talked about in her Town Hall. She said how many and how many were VSP and layoffs. I can tell you from what I have been around there are a lot from both sides gone, so hopefully that is it, and we will make it through this leaner and better. I need to work, so I am very thankful of our co-workers that took the VSP. They really kept this all from being much more painful, and deserve a thanks for stepping up.
It’s not even close to 4,500 employees.
Also, Oxy is a $50 stock with WTI oil at $80 (unless you believe the pie in the sky model IR tried to peddle last year, discredited by street analysts, and subsequently ‘deleted’ along with OKB and CB). And VH is still CEO - incredibly sad state of affairs! Demote her to geologist if she wants something to do - like De Niro went back to picking horses at the end of C-sino!
It doesn’t seem like 4500 employees gone. Do you have the breakdown of LAPC vs LOXY, VSP vs
laid off?
All it takes is 80.00 oil and she will be a hero. Way ahead of reducing cost to this point with over 4500 combined company employees gone. Once we get the election behind us both parties are going to want to open the economy, and things are going to take off as we learn ti live with the virus. Don’t be surprised if this gets pulled off, and a year from now she is a hero.
In years to come, many business schools will use stupid Vicki as a real live working example of how not to acquire another company
$80 billion to $12 billion and she is still CEO?
