If you are still paying union dues to IBEW 824 you need to have your head examined!

Folks, I am proud to announce that Cletus has been choking on Bernie's egg roll to make this deal go through and you can thank your union by saving money and not paying dues so you can prepare to be a contractor because this company is broke and gave everything they had left to the execs - no room to pay lazy union workers that cry instead of work and use fmla. Maybe the union is hiring treasurers I hear there is easy money to embezz...make there! Good luck being productive members of society instead of collecting a free meal ticket, the contractors are hiring!
California is going to be locked out in early September. I've seen the list of places where the contractors will be filling current positions. It'll be across the board. Also know a retiree who works for a contractor that has him calling anybody he knows to see if they want to be scabs. No contract talks since March and none until early September. Probably after the lockout. Everyone on unemployment for 5 or 6 months.
so next month you'll say 14 months and still no contract. do yourself a favor, take some time off. You need it.
Everyone knows IBEW 824 is one of the weakest unions in the entire country. Zero chance FL ever gets a new contract.
Hell we'd be fortunate if they would just renewed the current contract as is. At least it would secure our jobs, maybe! Then again no one is saying anything and thats the worst part! IBEW 824 is going to do what ever Frontier tells them!
Great news! A new contract is being negotiated as we speak. We are hammering management! We want free health insurance, large company sponsored pension contributions, and better pay for our workers!! We have Frontier against the ropes and they know it. Frontier can’t survive without IBEW!! We need everyone to keep paying union dues though. This is your union!!
Not going to get one. CA, i know you're watching.
