Thread regarding Dril-Quip Inc. layoffs

Points system completely corrupt

Points have been fabricated so that even if someone wins an appeal they still won't get enough to be safe.

I have been around a bit and seen my fair share of redundancies and I can safely say with complete honesty that I have just witnessed by far the biggest points carve up I have ever seen. The sheer number of people that have been carved up and the fact they haven't even tried to hide that its a carve up is absolutely shocking.

I’m just glad he’s still in a job, doesn’t matter if it’s dq or biscuit packing, as long as I can still see the postie and milkman, and the guy that delivers for Amazon.

Aye, how can someone who's only been on a machine a year max and doesn't even know basic set ups and machining principles score more than a time served machinist with HNC/HND qualifications?

Raising a glass to all let down today...especially the ones who had to work through lockdown only to facilitate corporates need to reduce the back log so they could satisfy customer contracts going forward...letting them down was never in the equation...my thanks to the top tier of this organisation for showing how empathetic business leaders can be....?
Hiding behind the cloak of pandemic and trade disputes to justify decisions to cut at the bottom but reward the top always shows insincerity to the masses...devide and conquer et brutus.

Looks like DQ have abused the furlough scheme. I think HMRC will be having a word with them. We knew their were going to be redundancies before folk were placed on furlough. Naughty DQ.
