Thread regarding Ricoh layoffs

The newest video comes out mentions sales.....but.....?

I am not sure if you know this Ricoh, but a little over a year ago you canned all your sales reps and cut sales to the bone. But now you want to talk about how sales will drive you?

I'm so confused? Does anyone else think these videos are just to blow smoke up people's asses? They do one thing and then say another.

So unless Ricoh is hiring new sales reps, I hardly see how pushing SALES will work when you ain't go no sales people buddy! Someone needs to tell upper management to grow a brain because it's clear they are missing some key pieces.

Sales will be via website, on line support and outsourced call center. Any initiative from now until the end will be measured by cost cutting and maximizing profitability without tech innovation and revenue....What is a company’s largest cost of doing business? And yes, ricoh will blow smoke up every orfus we have to the contrary.

@1pvh+16wGaXky, those employee engagement surveys are critical to determine which exotic brand of BS to serve us up!

Those stupid surveys are useless. I don’t think it matters how you answer them. They formulate whatever opinion they want, which is screw the employee.

ricoh still in the copy business: duplicating xerox from start to finish. Maybe it’s time for another employee engagement survey!

Also forgot to mention that Ricoh thinks we can't read also, About a year or two ago Ricoh completely deleted two factories in Asia.

So let's talk again about how you're not going to be losing the techs when you have given away the techs in Florida and Mississippi and everyone knows it? Plus, you sell off two huge factories?

Read the headline. Tell me again how you are going to keep the "techs"?

Typically when companies start splitting up their corporate structure into a bunch of smaller companies it's so they can either start selling off those new companies or systematically dissolve them without impacting the other more successful parts of the business. Look at it this way, successful tech companies with cash acquire businesses. The opposite behavior is rarely, if ever, a sign of a healthy business.

Maybe they plan on having the techs sale again. Ha! That was such a great idea (NOT). It looks to me like they are just making stuff up and see what sticks.
