Haven't seen this yet on this site. Anyone worried about their job since the announcement last week?
I don't think I'll be affected but it does put a wrench on the back to work plans.

ADM layoffs: been there. experienced that.
ADM has no problem or hesitation with letting people go or outsourcing (IT department is a perfect example). They indicate they are "restructuring" or scaling back or working to be more "agile". If you pay attention, you will notice the people at the top (CEO, officers, etc.) never seem to lose a dime in the process. They still receive unbelievably huge bonuses and salaries while those below them are told "thanks for the years of hard work but we don't need you anymore" There was a time when that didn't happen at ADM (Old guard). Unfortunately, the company is now completely run by people that ONLY care about profits at ANY costs (human or otherwise). Not saying profits don't matter but the people that help keep the ship afloat should matter too. They simply don't anymore. Good luck to all that are still there and worrying about tomorrow.
Sounds similar to what they did with IT and moved it to an outside service.
