Thread regarding ADP layoffs

Facebook outreach to former ADP alums limited to those with ADP more recently than 2016...why?

I responded to this request (directly to mgr in global talent acquisition) and received email response of quote "our outreach this week was to former associates who had been employed with ADP more recently than 2016." Does anyone know why this time limit would apply? I retired in 2016 on my own, and thought maybe I could help, with volunteering my time, but this tells me they do not want my help? I spent over 24 years working on the autopay payroll system and still have lots of usable knowledge. Is this another poor decision or is there some valid reason for this limitation?

I got that email offer and thought about it briefly. I was part of the VERP, though "voluntary" was in name only, since my position was also being eliminated. So, while I can guess the intent of this offer was to beef up for year end, I could not put my heart into it guessing that we would be needed during the worst part of the year (Oct - Jan) and then suddenly be cast off, again. No thank you.

Cheap Indian labor. Cheap Indian management. Cheap Indian quality. = No clients, no profits, and ultimately no business.

Great plan ADP!

Cheap - as in low quality! Same with the management now - cheap and low quality!

ADP is worse than Facebook, and that is a terribly high hurdle!

Tell ADP to pound sand!

The following was posted by emma brem as response to a July 7 post "Did anyone receive an email today from ADP Alumni? The email address was is ADPAlumni@smashfly.adp.com." in the group ADP'ers Past & Present.

Hello group members! As a member of ADP Talent Acquisition, I wanted to confirm that we did send a message yesterday to a select group of ADP Alumni based on when you left ADP, your specific role while at ADP, and a few other criteria. The email is legit. For those contacted, please reference the email we sent and reply accordingly. Separately, we are building a new Alumni Network to keep in touch with past associates. If you are an ADP Alumni and interested in staying informed about alumni-related news, local networking events, and more, sign up here: https://www.applytracking.com/optin.aspx?c=CY2CMXYgBQ1g58LdUpU0f86A7Px8m%2bod And if you have any questions please feel free to email me at Emma.Brem@ADP.com

What did it say in the Facebook outreach?

I can't see any valid reason for this decision. Especially if you are an experienced volunteer and are not costing the company any money.

ADP has become a strange and wacky company.
