I've heard mostly rumors that it will happen this month (August) or next (September). I'm in the legal/contracts area and heard of a few terminations in legal at Collins but nothing thus far at PW. Curious if anyone has heard anything more... Thanks.

Heard today that President of Pratt announced 20% of workforce will be laid off by end of year....

Does the WARN act apply here for a 60 day notice? If they're planning on laying off over 8%ish which I expect, that would put them over the 500 person WARN act trigger. Unless they're planning on having multiple smaller layoffs to skirt around it
By the end of September, separated employees "off the books" for the 4th quarter.
For timing my manager said late Sept/early oct. I hear rumors of Sept 15. Lots of closed door meeting the last week or so.
Nothing yet. There are a couple of all-hands meetings set for this week and next week, as well as a one-on-one with my manager.
So we'll see.
