As a former foreman I vehemently disagree. Loving life no stress or c-ap to shovel every day from above and below. The $4k a month furlough pay wasn't bad while it lasted. If Congress gets there act together and passes the extension, I will be fine until 2021.

Get rid of the legacy grandfathered managers who have no idea what is going on, and keep the ones that just came from supervisor/foreman jobs. They actually know what is going on and do all the work for the other managers anyway.

Too many managers, need to cut about 1 in 4 so there is less chiefs to the number of indians.

Why would we need laborers who don’t know sheet about locomotives as leaders again?

@OP Managers weren’t hired to be foreman; they were hired to be managers. We would probably agree that it was a bad idea to get rid of foreman and expect managers with no prior railroad experience (OMTs) to take their place. For FMTs who crossed over from agreement it’s a different story (sometimes).

Don’t give them any ideas to hire more people that don’t know what’s going on. They may find one that actually knows something.
