Consultants are told to post success stories on Linkedin. The folks are just filling it up with the same stories. this is so foolish.

Anyways I'm now out of Teradata consulting. Good luck for the rest!!

Lack of management clarity on the role of consulting is the single biggest reason for this....are we a hardware company....no a software company....no a product company....Tcore...blah blah blah....

A sales team who does not know how to do outcome lead selling.....Useless set of Business consultants who are good at doing nothing....Customer Sucess team is a joke who brought in no success at all... but i am sure a new strategy is just around the corner....

Hasn't Consulting been under the new CRO for 14m now? Shouldn't that be enough time to get things in order with new strategy and execution, esp since that's half the employees? He's certainly getting paid a lot to do that according to SEC filings.

As sai in my previous comment the Teradata consulting has been almost destroyed because: 1 unclear strategy (do everything alone or leave the meat to SIs only taking care of optimizing poor coding written and designed by oracle oriented people) 2 let experienced people go away while hiring "programmers" with no Teradata real know how 3 create lot of processes and roles to do what were done by a bunch of people and few tools 4 throw away industry knowledge and great tools (I. e. EDW Roadmap etc) 5 not investigating the reason why lot of people resign 6 not paying attention to the quality of revenue (sometime 10 programmers may give better revenue and margin than three senior people but what kind of lock in effect you may get and what insider sales you may get from poor programmers??? Could continue but this should be enough but let me recall the overlap between EM and PM....

Consulting has been a mess since before DH, and for sure he has not improved anything.
The indecision of working with SIs, and providing key expertise for customer success as opposed to trying to do all implementation has failed.
Immaturity. Product arrogance. Pathetic leadership over many years.
Localised PS leadership always ‘puckered up’

Ask Dan why we are down 26 per cent and have been crashing and burning for years under his leadership. He is the million dollar salary man for terrible and consistent results.

Many folks have no work in India with no clarity whether any projects are in pipeline.
Product should survive not the consulting business?? Any thoughts?
They haven't got any new customer in consulting since years now.
What do you think future of so many fresh graduates that they have hired since years now??
Do you think people should wait or run away ?
