35% HR cut. It's only the beginning. Company-wide will be ~25%

There are some pretty incredible people in LCO HR, one is R. S., when my time came to package in May 2019 she was a tremendous wealth of knowledge and understanding. Could not have done it without her. As said in my earlier posts Scott Sheffield is going to have to get it right this time; and right means that it appears to be fair, and it is fair to the remaining employees of PNR. All levels of management and all departments must go under the chopping block and lose their share of people. The future of Pioneer will be the judge on how fair the employee reduction was conducted. If not judged fair, the remaining employees will flee to other companies where they are appreciated. Pioneer will become a haven for malcontents, misfits, rejects from other companies, and contractors. Corporate failure will follow no matter how good the Permian kitchen rock assets are, because top to bottom no one gave a S. Check the XOM lay-off page same thing going on there, it is a s— fest down Las Colinas Blvd the fast trackers (A. K.ers) are winning. The good employees are leaving in droves. Oil companies are self destructing not from climate change, regulations, or carbon neutral policies, but from within.
This board is silly. It’s already done. They are simply executing. And looks like a made a decent pun.
Next is management. This process avoids people from having to let themselves go after "restructuring". HR first, in groups that are being restructures or combined since you only need 1 individual for those combined groups. Next will be Management across the company, again eliminating redundant positions after merging groups. Worker bees will be let go after the new org structure is rolled out and it will be the remaining managers of those restructured groups that will release whoever is left. Things are already in motion. 5-6 weeks all will be done.
It is sad to say this is evidence the layoff will be done in the shadows
KR was good ppl and good at what KR does. Maybe look in the mirror.
Remaining HR now must eliminate the completions. Its a pioneer sickness. Let drilling complete they at least do it with no complaining no excuses no crying.
Through the years I have been in employee counseling meetings with KR, once an employee used a company vehicle to take a vacation to San Antonio, another one had stolen from a High School Booster club several thousands of dollars. On another occasion met with KR and PNR's FUZZ BB from LCO who were investigating my Manager for very unprofessional deeds. I was assured my career would not sufferer, if I spoke openly (WRONG). The Dark Side Manager survived another 18 months and my career went into the toilet. Finally he left to pursue other interests, in oilfield parlance "get your tools and go home, don't ever come back". I found with HR and PNR's FUZZ Departments they were never there to help you unless it was out the door . So the LAYOFFS have begun, going to be a very long six weeks to select and package 30-35% of the workforce. May the Force be with you.
@tzz I’m thinking the same
Does this mean they are doing the layoffs through the next two months??
Honestly I think HR will function better without those business partners. They really didn’t do anything accept aid with k–ling careers! Allowing bad managers to wreak havoc and assist with creating hostile work environments.
