Unconventionals went through a brutal year with Avanti. Gretchen’s message kinda has been: “this is it. We’re good. It’s everyone else’s turn to use BCG now.
Do you think Reshape will NOT impact Unconventionals since they already did their cuts, or is Unconventionals still on the Reshape chopping block after all this?

I can verify that BCG is being used for upstream Reshape decisions. Straight from a senior leader's mouth yesterday in a town hall. Probably wasn't supposed to share that yet.
I’m hearing another 10% from Phoenix (upstream) and 10-15% from Reshape (company wide). UPU will not be spared just because of Avanti
I dont believe a thing Watkins says. She is likely preparing unconventionals for divestment. It is proven that Shell leadership just cant figure it out.

Absolutely no guarantee. By Reshape due time Avanti will be a distant memory.
Reshape may end up being very surgical, or a shotgun blast at everybody (MORs), including unconventionals.
It's not even clear what the new director's areas going to be. They may "reshape" some directors out of their jobs!

While I don’t think the impact on unconventionals will be as steep as other groups given that we’ve already seen a 40% reduction, I absolutely don’t trust anyone saying that Reshape won’t effect unconventionals. Leadership will say what they need to placate us, but ultimately no one is safe.
I’d be surprised if unconventionals came through unscathed. Hel* it wouldn’t surprise me if they divested the whole thing, how does a BU with no returns fit into this new green Shell they are forming?
