Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

Would like to know approximately how many were laid off

I need to know approximately how many employees were laid off due to I believe halliburton is screwing all of us under 3yrs of employment. If 20% of the total company were laid off then by statutes set forth by the IRS they would have to automatically vest all employees under 3 yrs for the halliburton basic. The IRS calls this Partial Plan Termination. If everyone that is under 3yrs of employment and was laid off in 2020 then the IRS would be forced to investigate and more than likely we would all get our halliburton basic from the 401k account.

I worked for a Halliburton Company decades ago. They would periodically send a benefit update pamphlet to our division that was titled “World Class Benefits.” My boss read the title out loud to me; which I corrected for him: “Third World Benefits.” I went to work for an International Oil Company a few weeks later. I liked my job, but Halliburton only takes care of shareholders, not employees.

There were approximately 3500 in the SA yard, they closed the yard. Press said 384 were laid off from SA. Just in the shop alone there were close to 350 employees and now there’s like 3. I don’t know about the rest of you but I’ve got close to $4k in the halliburton basic that was supposed to be a bonus tell me how they can legally give you a bonus and take it back?

around 12K. You can tell by looking at press releases, they always note how many employees work for the company the latest # was 40,000. it was north of 50,000 before 2020 (and over 80,000 in 2014). problem is that is a global number, no way to know how many in the states which is all the IRS has any jurisdiction over.

hal is trash- just let it go and move on.
