Why did they let so many area managers leave in US Gas transmission and now are hiring replacements....? How is that saving the company money?

What are you people talking about? The vision is we have to have more diversity and make sure we talk about racial issues or something like that.
I agree 100 percent. The guy is lacking in certain areas of intelligence.
Al is in over his head. He’s not right for the larger Enbridge, nor the challenging times we are in. Of course that’s my opinion, but I base that opinion on the poor short term decisions that have been made this year. Cutting costs to preserve the dividend is short term thinking at its finest. The VMO that screwed over hundreds of dedicated, long term, “almost” retirees while paying others which gutted talented people while leaving a bitter taste with the remaining workforce. Thirdly, the ship is rudderless, no vision is communicated corporate wide while each Director or Manager does whatever further their interest, not the company’s.
Its Al Monte Carlo
Take your bets!
What’s wrong with Al Monaco?
The huge “Brain Drain” that has occurred over the past several months, will now be completed once the experienced management is replaced by younger talent. Unfortunately, there was never a system in place that allowed a transfer of knowledge. This means that those tough lessons learned and the mistakes, will now be repeated, at the cost of $10s of Millions of dollars.
Basically, Enbridge s—s. They don't care if you are a valuable employee or not. Glad I am out. Wish I never set foot in that dysfunctional cesspool.
Welcome to the modern world
I don’t think Enbridge cares anymore about treating people—whether they be employees, customers, suppliers, community members or landowners—with decency and respect. All the company cares about is that some people at the top (Al and his pals) make money. That’s why Enbridge is so plagued with bullying, s-xism, racism, ageism and nepotism. Behaviours that typify these ways of operating start at the top and filter down throughout the organization.
When I think of the manner in which I was laid off a few years ago, I equate that to what I hear from former colleagues about the way Enbridge is being run now: impersonal, cold, calculating, bullying and only out for the benefit of a select few. And to think I actually cared about contributing to Enbridge’s success.
I have worked for maybe 10 organizations (public and private) in my career. This is the most disfunctional, poorly communicated vision for a company I have ever seen. I cannot connect the dots between what leadership does and what any goal is, it makes no sense so I have resigned myself that it is just that poorly run.
Because the supposed leaders at Enbridge have no idea how to run a decent company. Let the good UG managers go (or most probably walked away voluntarily) and the replace them with lower paid people who won’t know anything about the business. Unfortunately, they have ruined a good company (UG) with this “merge”.
Because the new managers will likely be lower in the payrange than the ones that departed
