management can make or break any company........................just look at whats going on in the country now ...
i worked there for 4o years its true its closing. company started going down after they started hiring those educated fools IE, college kids think they know everything. what a joke....
I have to do what I have to do. Our country's protectionism policies no longer make businesses competitive internationally.
I think we all see it coming sad but true.. thanks to lieutenant Dan V for doing such a great job sinking the ship with his incredible Skills to improve performance
Hahaha. Best news I've heard in awhile. This puts a smile on my face.
What’s severance package for a plant closure?
RIP OTIS.
Sorry to hear this guys, lots of really great and talented folks.
Quiet shop, quiet Mike Adams, you could see something brewing.
If it makes you feel any better.... i'm sure SING will sh– the bed and Jeff can finish off HCT once and for all when the customers walk away due to COPQ.
When he said minimum service quality, he meant it.
For all of you that helped set up SING, did HDfX cost savings programs, etc, what did you think the endgame was?
Getting literally zero advance notice makes it kinda difficult to move on from having now no income. That’s a bumper sticker slogan. Reality is you have zero income now and unless you are one of the 5% of people who actually have a rainy day fund you have Effectively had your life destroyed.
Just a job
Let Just moved on
All due to poor management. Used to be an awesome place to work, once upon a time.
All going to Singapore Malaysia. Don’t see a purpose why they should have to keep Dunkin in Lafayette open either sure that’s coming down the pike
Ya they said it would be 6 months then proceeded to S-can 30% of the people in 1 day. The rest will be gone within the next 6months. Screw all of Hal Mgmt. bunch of little D s—ing A holes
So when do we pick up our tools?
was a timeline given? did they say much else? how was the news delivered?
The history of Halliburton book is being used by several business school..........class??? How to destroy a great company!!!
I have fond memories of the 31 years I worked in Carrollton. Believe me they were once a great company. New management did not recognize the cohesiveness of a really great workforce. It was off with the old and in with the new.
Sad but Carrollton dug their own grave by always over-complicating everything and running it like a union shop. Still unbelievable that it would happen. Miller will get a nice bonus out of it. U.S. should change their tax laws to keep this sort of stuff from happening and letting slave labor on the other side of the world take our jobs.
I’m in shock. How many lost jobs today - manufacturing, productions, technology, global sales, marketing?
I am sad for all of us that lost our job. At Carrollton I have met the best machinist and learn so much from them. Good luck to everybody 🙏🏿✌🏿
I’ve had many mixed emotions today. At first I was angry, now I’m more relieved. But for obvious reasons I’m worried about having no income. Fact is Halliburton is a failing company. You go nowhere working for them. I wasted a lot years being promised promotions that never materialized. Good luck to those of you left, I won’t miss it. Fingers crossed I find something better soon.
It’s a sad day for HCT. A Signed death sentence for Halliburton was issued today. I am in mourning for the the company I hired on with. FU&¥ and your BS management that stacked this up with absolutely NO intervention when presented with the truth! Let the smoke and mirror game commence. I give 1year before Lion is closed and HCT is sold........
Does this mean Singapore has a capable team and facility to handle the complex work that only Carrollton could do?

I work at this site and it indeed get sold and is closing. Manufacturing is moving to Singapore. Limited personnel from technology will be moved the the new building in the back.
Carrollton Office of Halliburton announced its closing today and employees were escorted out of the facility. Fact!
All the work going Arbroaths way?!
Manufacturing and testing are moving to other facilities. Technology will remain in limited capacity.
Good. Taxpayers have been funding this pig for far too long. Close it all down.
not true i just talk to a buddy sayes there still working there WTF
All of Carrollton tx! Can’t believe it
HOLY Sh–. my heart goes out to all those folks.
