My question, is it true that some of HR and Payroll jobs will be going to be transferred to India?...
If so it's a normal thing to do to cut cost.

I worked in telecom and lived in India during 2006 - Hindus cant speak well, but have higher education than 95% of our employees and work for 40x less.

OTC functions are going offshore as well. More layoffs. Richard is the brainchild of this I hear.
Yes. The days of 'caring' about workers are over. Exec team would rather support overseas slave labor than to have workers here in the U.S. prosper and have a decent job. Miller will get a nice bonus out of it.
Keep an eye on the Halliburton jobs website. Quite a few “professional” jobs are posted, and they’re all overseas. Looks like they laid off at northbelt and Duncan just to repost the jobs overseas. Pathetic, but expected from helliburton.
