my children have moved in with family in different homes because I could not afford to take care of them. After more then 15 years working for Seaworld and my life to you. I am losing my home so you can pay people less and you make your big bonus. This used to be the company everyone wanted to work at

How can a company who is failing help anyone? It's been going under for years. For those of us who stayed and thought it would get better have been foolish.
"Personal responsibility" is what people say when they are emotionally tone-deaf and dont think anything negative will ever happen to them.
To the person who said "There’s gotta be some kind of personal responsibility here" are you "f"ing out of your mind? I have never taken a hand out from anyone. I didn't plan to have a sick child. My medical expenses are more then unemployment. I didn't plan on being furloughed!!!!! Thanks SEA for being so heartless. Not helping us and making the government do it.
I was signed up for the highest aetna plan this year. Cobra would have sapped my funds and I still would be paying extra on top. Aca I didnt qualify for because of other people living in the house so it boosted household income too high.
Not sure what you are supposed to do there. None of our other bills stopped and sure the ectea unemployment was nice for people making less than 15 an hour it just highlights the issues with our systems.
Besides we arent the ones who pawned this off as a hoax either.
Omg.... have you looked at the cost of famiky cobra or aca medical. The employment was enough to cover that only. Plus we then have out of pocket and deductible. After that there is NO EXTRA money for normal monthly expenses. You are in denial. You and your high paying jobs. Help us!
I mean... I get that Seaworld has screwed over A LOT of people and is clearly in the wrong here.
But there were also 5 months with expanded unemployment benefits that are likely higher than what would have been paid out as a severance.
There’s gotta be some kind of personal responsibility here too.

Enjoy your big bonuses, meals, medical coverage, and vacations to the board, SR, SN, MS, and all who are still there. God isn't proud of you. You enjoy life and we are suffering.
If they gave you your severance that is in the handbook you would be able to help your children. evey other themepark helped with medicle. So sad for our families with pregnancy, cancer, and covid that gave their lives to SEA and sea doesnt care about us. We are hurting and they don't care. We can't move on when no one is hiring.
