Wrong, wrong, wrong. No lump sums for anyone and california is not safe. And everything is affected by the bankruptcy. No battle has been fought yet. Demand away Union. See who's the last person standing when this is over.

Yup... we're still broke, losing customers at a record pace, and management is still dumb as ever.

Wasn't the NOC in Allen ran by a bunch of Liberals anyway? Never did make it since they moved out of DFW.

Cletus, once again you are wrong on multiple levels. First of all the union does not work with management, the union gets in the way of leadership decisions. Also, it is impossible to guarantee no layoffs when the company has filed bankruptcy, change is inevitable. Paying your dues will help nothing and if you are involved in union business for the thank yous, you are doing it for the wrong reasons. It is your obligation as an employee of the union to represent the members, not a privilege. There are still a lot of decisions to be made but the most clear message should be-nobody is safe, this is far from over, and the union will not be able to protect you, there will be layoffs and the union, if kept, will be crippled significantly yet again.

Just in, per CWA, CA is safe no lay offs, and the pension is not affected by the bankruptcy. You can still take lump sum. We have fought a hard battle.

The Union is working with management and we have demanded that there will be NO layoffs. The Union doesn’t play around. Please keep paying your dues. You’re welcome!
