Hearing that several markets have brutal days out. Probably should have held on to more in house techs and other support to avoid an even worse customer experience.

Customer retail shops not reopening.Definitely helps with the workload.Well at least we still have jobs i guess.
You don't get severance when furloughed. That wouldn't make any sense.
I can't tell you with absolute certainty that you are incorrect. I know plenty of guys that got laid off and they all had the same package and they all had that in the agreement. Had nothing to do with being furloughed or laid off.
They only lose severance if they were furloughed not laid off.
Not true wordsmith
I would imagine the guys who took a voluntary didn’t have the clause if they said no. To lose their severance . The ones that were hand picked to be laid off that had more seniority than most Prob don’t have the option to say no.
"They don’t forfeit there severance. Another fake news story"
THEIR!!!
You dope
Please don't let that person lead you down the wrong road. All you have to do is read the agreement that was given to you. It clearly states what happens if you do not accept rehire. If you want to believe the dope that says it is "fake news", be my guest.
Read below:
(h) Rehire. If at any time during the period you are receiving Severance Benefits under Section 2(a), you are rehired, or the Company offers you a recall to employment from layoff, to either your former position, or a substantially similar position, as determined by the Company (“Recall”), you agree that the Company’s obligations to provide Severance Benefits to you in accordance with Section 2 will terminate as of the date your Recall was scheduled to commence, and you will waive any further rights to Severance Benefits under this Agreement regardless of whether or not you accept the Recall. (i) Section 409A.
It's not a matter of believing me or not, all you have to do is read the agreement. Unfortunately when you are unable to do that, you find yourself looking like a fool. So I'm just going to assume you're just a troll and have zero affiliation with this company. Fake news thing is cute though.

They don’t forfeit there severance. Another fake news story
Unfortunately, if the company request guys to come back, they must comply. If you refuse, you forfeit your severance. So once again, this garbage company has you by the ballls. I just feel bad for anyone who doesn't want to go back to this awful company. I'm sure when things get back to normal, they'll have an excuse for another mass layoff and all those guys they took back, will be kicked to the curb. And please stop with the "fake news", it gives people douche chills.
10 said yes..fake news again.
They started calling guys in hauppauge that took the package , and asking them if they would come back to help with the 37 plus days out they are on tc's. At this point all have said no. Hahaaahaha
What happens when they get rid of sups who know their $#!+ and keep the yes men.
Especially the osp sup
The sups in Piscataway are awful. Zero help, zero knowledge.
Hey Ch8P, where’s that?
Days out in the a good chunk of the WV markets is 30 day plus, I think Altice was banking on the fired techs going to these contracting companies and coming back to them at 1/2 the price, the only problem with that logic is that they didn't consider how burned the techs would have felt coming back to a company that just fired them, or the fact that they'd make more on unemployment than they would with a contractor. So now they have jobs stacking up, and these contractors are just pulling any a–hole off the street and sending them out with maybe a weeks worth of training, just so they can say they have bodies in the field.
Here 25 years... Biggest sh*" show I have seen in all that time. Everything is "power related"
It’s only a matter of time before a tech gets assaulted by a customer . They’re putting everyone’s safety at risk w the lack of help and support . Good luck !!
Just shows the weakness in what is left of the company. More of a push for contractors. If you think there aren’t enough contractors just look at what the power companies do with mutual aid. Time to start looking for anyone left that needs to work for 5yrs or more.
Get the Supervisors out doing routes. The one out east spend all his time at home while you sweat
No work for OSP
Rumor is there letting more westchester osp guys go on Friday next week....perfect timing...smh
Nobody cares
Start banging in , let them get the shaft for a short time
