They only hired people back to get them off unemployment. They will face a lay-off after the sale but coded as seasonal they will have to fight for unemployment. It’s a dirty dirty game

Bummer.
i cannot believe at one point i thought the nordstrom brothers were good people. they are just as toxic and manipulative as all of the managers. all the statements and press they did about how much they care about the employees are complete bs.
i worked at the men’s store and was bullied into quitting before the pandemic happened because i refused to follow the unwritten rules of nordstrom (never report managers to hr or their bosses and ignore how they play favorites). the ceo of the new company i work at is also extremely evil and money hungry, but not even he did something as evil as this.
