One of the biggest problems is that Commscope has bought too many companies that do not fit together. Arris is an old company with products that don't make sense in the medium term. Ruckus is facing considerable challenges in the marketplace. Aruba, Cisco are miles ahead of Ruckus. The fact that HPE has now bought Silver Peak and integrated it into Aruba is a tactical and medium-term move. HPE is making its 5G Lab hub public with strategic partners. Commscope has nothing of the sort to offer. The company is too big and belongs filleted. Good people left or will leave.
The CEO does not have his finger on the pulse. The leadership team is thrown together and the worst thing is that everyone is trying to get by somehow and makes himself the servant of a company that has no future in this form. Corona is giving the company significant damage right now. Other companies get away with far fewer dents, although they also lay off workers to stay dynamic. Commscope has employees who have been with the company for well over 20 years and can only sell cables and wait for the customer to knock at the sales door. I believe that the company will split someday or they will get rid of uneconomic divisions to get back on track. I'm tired of wallowing in the mud that pretends to be a perfect world within Commscope. I have left the company and I am happy about my move.
