Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

Status - Involuntary Layoffs WARN Notices

WARN notices:

Received on June 8, 2020 - 5798 WA state employees last day with Boeing on July 31, 2020.

Received on June 29, 2020 - 668 WA state employees last day with Boeing on August 28, 2020.

Received on July 31, 2020 - 940 WA state employees last day with Boeing on October 2, 2020.

Scheduled for end of August, Mid-September, and Mid October.

Observation NOTE:
CEO Calhoun is a student of RIP CEO Jack Welch (aka “Neutron Jack"). Both were executive leaders of General Electric (which at one time was the world's largest company by Market Cap). Now GE's stock barely breaks $10/share and closer to a $5 dollar stock (so can be considered as a "PENNY STOCK" company). Both GE & Boeing are similar in that their respective market shares of their products were diminished over time due to incorrect executive management decisions, mid-level management execution plans, and the degradation of engineering knowledge and highly skilled labor forces.

Obviously "Seniority" with accompanying experience, gained knowledge and skill set doesn't account for much when a new manager drops a retention rating for for period of dropped performance during a 30 plus year career in Aerospace. If performance lags it is usually due to factors outside of the engineers control. (Waiting for critical information from other contributing team members to complete a package.) Many younger managers don't get this. The overall retention system needs to be reviewed. Just saying....I know of several older engineers that have recently got thrown under the Layoff Train.
