LOL the governor of Wyoming is wondering why they're getting the silent treatment from Oxy. Is anyone surprised? Standard Oxy protocol. EC and mgmt continue to prove they are a bunch of unprofessional incompetents.

@2nfu take up your rant with the gov of WY. The article is about "radio silence" as reflected in the title. duh
Wow, you get the gold medal for the longest jump with that speculation.
Maybe they can’t sale or say anything because Oxy is about to be bought out. They are trying to sale middle east and might package up Africa. No telling what else could be sold at the drop of a hat.
OP has a point. A well run bidding process wouldn't leave anyone in the dark for too long. If anything there should be at least a basic timeline to indicate progress and completion goals. Bidders can always withdraw if they feel like they are ignored.
Communication is a major flaw for all things OXY and he is pointing it out in how it not only affects internal but external people. While most of us understand that playing things close to the vest is good, dont you remember when Oxy used communication in their favor by publicly asking APC why their initial bid was rejected? So it shows you that the EC and leadership know how to use communication but instead choose to keep employees and others in the dark. They believe it gives them the power. It's how companies crumble when they cant trust their employees with information for fear they will take their power away or challenge ideas.
OP, grow up.
Most likely waiting for earnings season to end.
