Acquisition Target likely

with Dell emc spinning off Vmware, it might seem that Nutanix might be good fit for them.

Nutanix is based on KVM, instead of acquiring they can develop an own stack. Anyways instead of making one partner with redhat and Microsoft.

HCI is a declining product space, with softwares and a hardware you can achieve what Nutanix has to offer.

If you really think Dell is spinning off VMWare whilst Mr Dell owns the lions share of both companies you are high

why would Dell buy this redundant product? it's last week's news!

Dell EMC does have some competing products so it creates overlaps and typically EMC would get a new product that can expand on major marketshare globally. Nutanix being global doesnt align in the sense it does overlap with products. So it would be a tough sell as DELL is technically still paying down the debt from buying EMC

Nutanix for Dell ? no , that would be not really good idea. And notice Dell doesn't really spin off VMware until Sep 2021
