We at Intel no longer do anything technical. People that can present good power point slides and excel spreadsheets are promoted. We do not want technical employees, just paper pushers and bean counters. Yesterday we had 300 tickets, I worked with my team, and now today we have 295 tickets. Where is my promotion?

There is no technical work. It’s business of favoritism. I have seen dumb people working on critical development needs just because they lick manager’s feet. Work gets done with disgusting quality and manager writes big paychecks to this id–ts. This is the reason projects are delayed because bugs reach till silicon
Because the middle manager and Sr manager are dump with no vision and no idea what is Intel products.
Particularly if you acquire a compare those manager care about the Intel salary , benefits and corp grade levels but have no idea about intel legacy or product and they don’t care and try to safe guard their favorite people.
If everyone is in survival mode how do you get innovation?
