We know what that means

Blue, Green didn’t matter!!!
The root cause has been wrong hirings from Top Down via either in-circle of origins or from previous work connection. These days I noticed when you are lucky in the right group with your level 1 manager’s protection then you are okay no matter how your product level.
Sad but True!!!
Layoff was started in several sites, leave at end of Sept.
Fqz here.
I made it clear who I was targeting with my comment amongst the BB ranks. You know them. Those that can't accomplish anything without asking GB's "how do I?" questions and can't EVER answer questions coming from the other direction. Those that show up to work at nearly 11 and immediately go to lunch, return and claim themselves to be so busy but you can hear them talking about X topic for hours, another topic for a few more hours, and then they leave at 3 something. Whom every woman working nearby has quickly seen to their desk being moved far far away. Those that are emailed daily for guidance on an issue and never reply. Those that direct GB's to other GB's for answers constantly despite it being them that should have such.
And yes I have watched lazy GB's get away with insane amounts of BS like the BB's I was commenting on.
Funny enough the GB's I've watched that should have been terminated in an instant by the litany of glaring things I and others have seen/heard AND reported were protected by BB's whom they've befriended. Even better in the wake of playing whistle blower terminating those of us reporting issues has been openly discussed at parties (issues such as FALSIFIED RESULTS, RACIST REMARKS, s-xISM, FALSIFIED HOURS TO THE TUNE OF 20 SOMETHING HOURS WORKED A WEEK, ETC).
@wez wise advise to work elsewhere! Except you wouldn't believe how many companies have outright expressed "oh you worked at Intel, sorry no thanks" to those of us trying to get out over the past year.
Having once been a green badge (for 6 contracts) I can tell you that the absolute best way to guarantee that you'll NEVER get a blue badge job is cry & complain that you are "only a lowly green badge" –people HATE hearing that c-ap; particularly those people who were once green. Another person who hates hearing your b–ching: the green badge who sits next to you in the lab, who is actually trying to work! And that person is telling everyone about your constant complaining! So either shut up with that noise, or you may find yourself getting "walked" while everyone watches & points & laughs.
Next, a majority of green badges don't do 1/2 the work they think they do–and we have ways of telling who is actually doing work, vs. running scripts to generate traffic, making it look like they're working! Let me be clear, we have some extremely talented & skilled green badges, and Intel is too stupid or cheap, or whatever, to hire these people! But THESE particular people don't ever complain about "just being a green badge" because they don't see themselves that way. They choose to come to work, every day, and the color of the badge is meaningless–same as it was for me, several years ago.
And yes, there are lazy blue badges too! They do very little, and make themselves look great by fabricating stats & metrics, generating mountains of reports, and generally going about their days by bothering others with their incessant demands for more stats.
I took it as they don’t have any planned right now. Maybe I’m seeing the glass too full. Also, I’ve lost track to how many jobs I’ve applied to in the past few months and am single, so I don’t get as stressed about that stuff.
So true @WEZ . If they run circles around everyone why aren't they blue.
I don't understand what the green badge person below is babbling about.
I mean, it's his own decision to contract with Intel instead of some other company. If he wants to play the victim then he can blame himself rolls eyes
Hope those of you Blue Badges whom look in the mirror and know deep down that you have no right to your pay level (not to mention your now cheap stock) are enjoying this to the fullest! Us Green Badges that run circles around you but never get anywhere in this poorly ran company are taking bets on who gets the boot as we know who you are!
