Thread regarding L Brands layoffs

Leadership layoffs

Why is it that much of the same leadership that was in place during that last economic down turn is the same leadership that will be choosing the associates to lose their jobs once again.

Does anyone see the irony here?

Perhaps if the company would bring in new managers, directors etc with new ideas, this company may get back on track and be the strong retailer of yester-years. Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure this out....

I see that it's coincidental but there is no irony there ...

If you have spent 20+ years as a Director, Manager etc in the same area without accepting new challenges outside your comfort zone you are not helping yourself or the corporation.

These same employees are the ones deciding the fate of employment for many. Extremely troubling...

This is a standard throughout the IT area.

All the leadership should be let go, out with the old guard, time for new innovative leaders.....they seem to keep people who have been their buddies for decades - and those are the ones who are incompetent and stuck in the past.
