Thread regarding ADP layoffs

Why so many posts about the stock? Who is shorting

There are a lot of recent posts regarding stock price. Appears to me that someone here is trying to short this stock.

Stock still down. Of course it is Saturday. The irresponsible CEO is still not respected and not qualified. Of course if is Saturday. And come Monday the stock will still be down and CEO will still be a terrible joke of a CEO.

Anyone NOT shorting this stock is insane! Only people more foolish are those working for ADP thinking they are ok or safe.

@1tbu+16ZkSyKG - you are so naive...

Read the "positive spun" latest earnings release straight from ADP:

https://s23.q4cdn.com/483669984/files/doc_financials/2020/q4/4Q20-Earnings-Release.pdf

Highlights for FY2021:
"Transformation Initiatives are continuing"
"Expected Revenue Decline" (all - ES, PEO, Nationals)"
"Average worksite employee expected to continue to decline"

Regardless of facts, and how bad this environment has become and how badly this CEO has led this company into decline, some people will never admit it. Work like a donkey, be treated like garbage, hang around with lot of newly hired college grad inept employees whining they need things handed to them, I don't care. It's a toxic environment now. Stay as long as you can. That may be years or months - all depends how little you are really being paid right now. Cest la vie

FACT: the CEO is a terrible CEO
FACT: layoffs are continuing
FACT: the best and thusly highest paid employees have been pushed out to save money
FACT: most of the people left are the second and third string worried about layoffs for themselves
FACT: the ADP client base is decreasing
FACT: the "nextgen" ADP payroll and tax products don't in large part work and still missing 75% of the needed functionality
FACT: client are unhappy with ADP
FACT: ADP is in a all out information spin trying to prevent more damage
FACT: the stock is going down
FACT: the board made the wrong decision in allowing this CEO to stay and implement his plan
FACT: more layoffs are indeed coming before year end

Now, if you feel you only want to read the posts solely regarding the timing of your pending layoff, then that is you prerogative; however, the world does not revolve around your little needs and desires. In any event, posting facts and truths about ADP and the impacts by the CEO to the business, the stock, the employees, the clients and any potential impacts as a result will continue regardless of your little tiny tantrum.

So many truths to be learned here. But what about: ADP is still in business, still making a profit. Probably not to the liking or degree of many posting to these threads. Companies can always do better. But ADP may fail one day, and then I suspect there will be a run on emergency room cases of people with dislocated arms from patting themselves on the back because they saw it coming. As is anything will last forever. We're not dealing with the pyramids here.

What's the statute of limitations on these truths? They've been floating on this site for years. Last batch of VERP folks was March 2019. 5 years from now, do these same truths apply?

Stick to the threads that discuss layoffs. Ignore the ones about CEO, stock. They are useless to the masses. If those folks were so good at picking winners and losers by accessing a company based on management and company direction, why are they working for a living?

And the truth is...
wait for it...

This CEO (Carlos Rodriquez) has made really bad decisions leaving this company in a terrible state of existence. So much knowledge and experience has been lost through the mass layoffs (that make you feel better - I said layoffs - what you seem to be so focused on saying all this site should allow because you are sick of hearing the truth) that it make take years to level the ship.

And since you want to know about more layoffs, yes they are indeed planned and being executed on. The COVID-19 came out of the blue and through a curve ball into the multi-year plan, but the leaders of this company merely pivoted to using it for even more layoffs under the name "furloughs" which were parlayed into layoffs. So to make you feel better, there are more layoffs planned. Look at the SEC filings around the "transformation initiatives" are continuing. And while the filings don't state specifics, rest assured more and more people are indeed being removed in an effort to attempt to make the books look better because they failed in the attempts to properly replace their products effectively. No spin here at all, I have heard from a very reliable source that big layoffs before year end.

Bitterness does not change the truth. You can be bitter, you can be happy, you can be neutral, but the truth doesn't have anything to do with these emotions.

Some people just use the excuse of bitterness and anger to try to discredit the information presented by posters here. But truth remains truth, separate from emotion.

"... rumors or the possibility of job cuts in our company."

That definitely includes discussions about stocks prices and the incompetence of CEOs which does have a bearing on layoffs. Certainly an open platform on ADP about layoffs and anything else that concerns them.

"TheLayoff.com is a simple discussion board for all of us who would like to learn more about the rumors or possibility of job cuts in our company."

Taken from the home page here. So it's not really intended to be an an "open platform". But the bitterness runs too deep in some.

@efr+16ZkSyKG - So sorry you are sick of hearing the truth. BTW, you ask about shorting the stock... along those lines did you happen to read the latest SEC filings last week where the CEO you love so much and most all of the senior execs all dumped stock in the $130's. No one bought. They all dumped their highly excessive stock options they got making millions while they are firing people who have been fantastic employees, perhaps some of the absolute best and most productive for 20 years. Is that the CEO you want? Is that prudent behavior? Is that going to work for you when you get the boot? Bottom line is the CEO is decimating this company at any cost to human lives and livelihoods solely for further greed for himself. As if $18 million a year wasn't enough to get by on... he needs to steal more from a company he did not even found and really did little to help except hurt so many others. If you want to hear about layoffs, here's an update: "more layoffs are indeed planned before year end."

This is an open platform for discussions about ADP. Stock price and CEO are certainly allowed to be discussed. If you are sick about these posts, then don't read them. Just because you don't like them, doesn't mean that people are forbidden to discuss them.

The CEO is terrible. The stock is tanking. You need to face the truth. No complaints here. Sounds to me like you are complaining about hearing the truth.

I’m getting sick of all the posts about the stock price and CEO. This isn’t what this site is for. If who ever is doing these posts works for the company and you are that unhappy then leave. I have used this site to find out about legitimate upcoming and recent layoffs. Find a different platform for your complaining.

The ADP stock has not been doing well. That's all there is to it. It is what it is. Nothing too hard to understand about that.
