Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Gone - and good riddance

I was one of the biggest achievers in the country this year, I guess my age didn’t fit with their plans ( 50), but at least it means I’ll knock them out of the park in my next job - their Achilles heel is there for all to see. And I can’t help thinking Micheal is skippering the IT equivalent of the Titanic

To the 60 year of female bad mouthing others. You have no idea what is like to be a male in IT industry today especially at Dell where Michael has made stupid target of 50% diversity. It is against nature, unnatural, against merit and against nature's selection of survival of the fitest. I personally know females are dell getting promoted so dell can his that stupid diversity goal

Being the highest performer (or close) in sales makes you an ideal layoff target. Sales organizations don't want sales people to feel safe, they want them to feel on edge...desperate. If you were a big dog kicking you off the yard sends a strong message to the betas. Do what the org says, how it says....and pound sand hard, very hard everyday...and don't question authority...you are not safe.

I speak as an almost 60 year old female and been around a long time at Dell EMC. The fact that you declared yourself "biggest achievers in the country this year" tells me lots about your mode of thinking. There is obviously more to this story than you are telling. Open your eyes and try to discover something within yourself that you can learn from this experience - other than playing victim.
