How to sabotage profitable software

Considering the years of real medical experience that the domestic Paragon team had, there's really no point in off-shoring and expecting competent improvements to any of the applications that make up the product suite. The vast majority of QA, Product Managers, and actual Developrs had degrees in nursing and had worked for years in hospitals as nurses. A large number of applications were nursing-specific, so our teams were able to discuss proposed changes with actual client leadership, ensuring we delivered changes that met their expectations. That skillset has largely been decimated by executives who are beyond ignorant as to what they had, starting from Horizon 'leadership' who regularly spoke poorly of Paragon in order to prop up Horizon so as to justify their own six figure salaries. Had they been cut loose just after the McKesson products were acquired, we might not be in such dire straights as a company.

Paragon was the better product, but when you put a Sunrise guy in charge of comparing Paragon to Sunrise, the winner is pre-selected.

They are running out of time to sell the useful business units and take the bones private.
