this company is pure evil...upper management blows millions on a fiber build that was mismanaged from the start and built with c-ap fiber that wont stand the test of time. Then the fiber build comes to a stop, employees and departments get pink slips...they blame it on covid..short falls..
Then ceo is on news with that constipated grin on his face when they purchase another company
Service electric 150 million
Cogeco 3 billion partnership bid
Cheddar 200 million

I was told thier game plan 5 years ago. They are true to thier plan. Do remember the told us all that what they teach us will look good on our resumes? In 5 years the cablevision employees will be just a memory. Will do as little as possible until my time comes to walk out door.
They also have field service postings, starting at $15hr and the shift is Friday to Tuesday.
I quit that 5hit show last June... best decision I ever made. Worked as field tech 14 years.
I had a contractor in a pick up pull up in front of me and was filled w cable boxes in the back in the pouring rain . Unreal
I think the bigger issue is how the government gave them money "for employing essential workers" and than they laid of a good percentage of said workers.Meanwhile they experienced their greatest growth of customer base/profit too date.Sometimes you have to take care of people irregardless of the financial position.98% of us are just trying to pay a mortgage and put food on the table.Hard working Americans, day in day out showing up and doing the work.Caring for our fellow Americans, while you ship crucial positions out to contractors and overseas.God forbid you had to struggle to pay bills, put an edible meal on the table.Instead of getting rid of boots on the ground, you should be trimming out the corporate fat that plagues this operation. The future could be so bright, but one cant see it behind rosey glasses.
Not the 87 Honda mini van. What about the 88 Ford Country Squire wood paneled station wagon with a wooden ladder tied down with bakery string. Have you seen that one. A real beaut
The Cogeco deal was rejected a day after the offer in conjuction with Rogers Comm.If you read the article, they accuse Altice and Rogers of inflating stock price and deflating theirs by the way it was handled.
most likely hiring supervisers back with a way lower starting salary
It was a opportunity to let people go plain and simple. They only want to pay that toothless guy with the ladders bungee corded to the top if his 1987 honda mini van who just got out of jail the weekend before.
Who would want the sup position at this point? Having to deal w customers after they p-ss-d them off . Any volunteers?
They already purchased Cheddar last year(as they did Sotheby's auction house).Service Electric was in the works since last year as well.Cogeco however is new...
Someone told me they are posting positions for field sups after they let 3/4 of them go. Unreal
Altice Woke-ist? Finally waking up to this nonsense ?
I'm watching a documentary on the Challenger Shuttle and and wishing I had a time machine. I would give Dexter and Drahi a little nudge into becoming astronauts and try to convince NASA, they only need these 2 fine individuals to fly.
