Most shameful episode. I heard the managers were Indians. Just typical.

I was working in Italy around 2007. Talk about corruption. Even the field engineers had to buy a case of grappa spirit every week for the senior rig hands. If not you didn't get any help whatsoever. Just part of the job. Harmless.

Haha I remember that.

That resulted in the whole 80000 workforce having to watch anti corruption videos and attend anti bribery courses. They flew me business class return Cape Town - Houston just to attend a 1hr anti bribery and compliance course,. Remember being given brown envelope (yes a brown envelope) and from the contents, pipe cleaners and sellotape, hade to build a structure as high as possible. What was that all about ?

What a nonsense, I still fiddle my expenses whenever I can.

BH were lucky. They only got caught for Kazakhstan. Practice was rife worldwide.
