Funny how Dillard's is fresh and has plenty of merchandise and Macy's has nothing but out of season junk and empty shelves.

We know it has been strange times Macy's should at least be at par with Kohl's. Target, and TJX. Was in all 3 yesterday- lines and lines- fresh merchandise (not tons but enough to make it fun). 38 people on line in Home Goods. Macy's -dull, funareal -crickets chirping...

Well gee we’re right in the middle of a pandemic. New goods stopped being bought at the end of March and current goods bought were cancelled bc of the PANDEMIC. Obviously now it’s going to be slim pickins. They also just reopened gradually over the last couple of months. You’re like the CEO of impatience.

Interesting. The stores that I've been to had their remodeling done before the pandemic and are still getting top brand merchandise.

Most Macy's stores need major capital improvement that is not going to happen. They are legacy department store chains buildings that they acquired over the past three decades. Most of the buildings were at the end of their designed lifespan when they acquired them. Since then no money has been put into them, and they are falling apart. The stores look disgusting. I am not going to shop and spend money in a building that has black mold growing on the outside walls and carpet so stained and worn thin it looks like it should be in the dumpster at Dollar General.

That's just the appearance problems... the merchandise problems, well, all I can say is no supplier is going to be shipping goods to a company that is in financial stress.

Two of my sister-in-laws walked through the Ventura CA Macy's recently and were very disappointed by both the limited selection and lack of quality.

Most house brands are not good. The stores have needed remodeling years ago, and are worn out!

so you're blaming the product quality on the store and not the brand?
