Thread regarding Shell Oil layoffs

Downstream affected by Reshape?

Will downstream manufacturing be affected by Reshape? Rumors are that we are ringfenced, site (DPK) already went through a 'workforce optimization' resulting in about 100 job cuts.

none of the downstream sites are making much money anyways. Old, unreliable, and under-maintained.

Of course it will. They’ve said they want to sell, what is it, 17 downstream sites? It’ll be slaughtered.

I mean to say USA. Midstream is technically downstream in Shell. Same EVP etc. I would expect downstream to still have some more layoffs

Are you saying midstream globally could be hit hardest? Or just USA

I do not think so. 100 staff out of the 1500 is about 6%. Midstream cut 25% this month and leadership expects another 5% from reshape. Good luck!
