Anyone considering Textron may just lockout strikers?

Under certain circumstances, lockouts are NOT illegal. For example, the company may perform a lockout if the contract expires or if yhere is wrongdoing by the union. Do your friggin' homework!
I guess u ppl don't understand what a real lockout is. A real lockout is when ppl are willing to work but the company won't let them. If done during contract negotiations or strike then yes it is illegal. This has been done by many companies in the past and almost every time has ended in a a lost lawsuit.
A lockout is counterproductive for Textron. During a lockout, Textron would only be able to hire temporary / contract employees and any employees locked out could receive unemployment. Whereas a strike the company can hire permanent replacements, additionally employees wouldn't be eligible for unemployment.
Barring nefarious unfair labor practices, lockouts are not illegal.
how is a lockout illegal, I do not see how shutting something down when employees do not want to come to work is illegal. I believe the company can start replacing striking workers once they strike.
A lockout would be illegal and met with a lawsuit....not saying they wouldn't do it just that it depends if the benefits out weigh the loss.
