Inspections will now be done from home via ZOOM. Car department will be eviscerated by 90 percent by 2021. Only 4 Carmen per yard and they will sit in front of a monitor from home and inspect from digital video provided by inspection towers all trains will pass through. All repairs will be then contracted out to TTX and Greenbrier who will be at the ready in the yard. The Carmen are only required to hit two keys in the board. One for HIGHBALL, and the other GOOD TO GO.

The u.p better work on getting reliable locomotives on those trains before worrying about Carmen! Just about Every outbound consist I see leaving has problems just trying to get out of the yard
