It must be awful when you hear your own kid saying to you "mummy told me not to talk to strangers".
I would rather be at home than be in a place 70 hours per week that I hate. Pocket money? The thing you don't understand is that I don't want to be in that place and that's why I have been preparing for this day for a long time. I can happily support myself financially comfortably because again I prepared and anticipated for this day to come. Talking of my wife, I'm happy to be at home to take care of her myself rather than the milkman and it gives me great joy knowing my kids know that I'm their dad and not just someone who sleeps in their house between working all the time.
All I took from that was a chuckle at “deserted” you can try taking the high road all you want- everyone knows none of you wanted to leave prior to knowing you were all on the way out before you left with a hand up your back and a bitter taste in your mouth.
You really do have to much time on your hands. I think it’s time you got out your bed, get the hoover out and do your chores before the wife gets home- otherwise she won’t give you pocket money this week

Look at you all not happy a guy has managed to keep hold of a job. You can’t even get your facts correct, he’s not going back to the machine shop, he’s secured a job elsewhere in DQ. Good luck to him. As for the rest of you have a go at the original post for not giving you the right info, you all had the chance to apply for any other jobs going, did you probably not as you were all glad to be out of there, sounds about right. But your still not happy someone has kept a job.
Between someone doing a guy out of a job through bumping and now this what a kick in the teeth for guys away/guys soon away,corrupt as hell!
Its a bloody disgrace if this is the case!guys paid off already and i know of 2 other guys potentially away end of next month and they’ll go into work and here someones been taken back on,you couldnt make it up,so happy im away from there but this is just so wrong!
I hope this is the case- Good on him, nice payout in the hipper , few weeks off and back on the payroll.
Why can’t you be happy for the man to be back at work providing for his young family.
I’m pretty sure some of you would have called him a work pal not that long ago -you need to have a serious look at yourself.
I for one, wish him the best of luck if he is back.

Can you imagine what a customer must be thinking when he asks Walter from the Bash Street Kids to show him his best men and they are presented with "hey you guy's" on the mill followed by the rest of misfits.
That's some comedy line up. Must be like watching an episode of Benny Hill and confessions of a milkman.
